Information
All heat pumps can cool, but not all air conditioning heats!
A heat pump is a 'reverse cycle air conditioner'. During summer it cools, and due to a reversing valve in the system, it is able to reverse the gas cycle inside the unit to create heating for winter.
All heat pump systems have two major components, an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. The outdoor unit houses the motor (compressor).
It pays to have a look where inside your house you might like an indoor unit, and where outside you wouldn't mind having an outdoor unit.
